Looking to improve your Mopar's response time and handling? Mopars with manual steering of the 1960's and early 70's came with a 24:1 steering box ratio which resulted in 5 turns from lock to lock.
MRE's new production Mopar manual box has a ratio of 16:1 or 3.5 turns lock to lock which provides quicker response in and out of turns. Plus, for those that track their car, gain weight savings and horsepower by eliminating the weight of a power steering box and pump from the front of the car. This helps with quicker weight transfer to the rear wheels and more horsepower by eliminating the drag of the pump on the engine.
MRE's manual 16:1 Mopar box is available for A, B and E body Mopars like the Dart, Valiant, Charger, Barracuda, Coronet and Roadrunner.
Better feedback through the steering wheel allowing for better feel of what the front wheels are doing
